RSMC Fall Report
The grievance on the RSMC financial cap was recently won by the union. The grievance was on the 29 million that was to be paid to the RSMC as stated in article 35. The calculation of the financial cap was based on what we were paid when we were contractors.
The Union does not know what the impact of the decision may be but it could be in the millions for the RSMC.

The 3 day fall educational will be held in Edmonton in November and there will be a basic RSMC shop steward course offered. Contact myself or the local office for more information.
As the winter season approaches if there are any health and safety concerns contact your supervisor to bring them to their attention and fill out a hazard report. If they are not resolved in a timely manner then follow up with your shop steward or a member of the committee.
The Health & Safety committee meets monthly check out the H & S board for the next meeting date and committee members.
Under the Canada Labour Code RSMCs have the right to refuse unsafe work.
